"And I still want to know why you even trust it!" Oliver protested. He was currently standing in the middle of one of the patient rooms, between the door, the Doctor blocking the door, and the same R2D2-like robot they had encountered before. His hand was securely covering his half-unbandaged arm wound to prevent the metal menace from doing anything more than start removing bandages, but unfortunately his escape route had been cut off by one currently-a-bit-irritating Time Lord.

"It's going overboard!" he added. "I don't need stitches for this. And I definitely don't need to be stabbed by any needles!" He eyed the robot, daring it to try to bring out the localized anesthesia it had just promised.

"If that's what it says you need, then that's what you need!" he argued, given Oliver a look. "Will you at least let it clean the wounds better than I did? I'm not that kind of doctor, you know."

He sighed a moment later. "Doing this is its job. And we never really got a chance to change your bandages from before and we've been in the cold for a few days. It won't hurt you."

"Sure, clean the wounds, change the bandages. That's what you said when you brought me here. I just..." He stopped short of commenting on just how little he wanted that robot anywhere near his wounds, especially after how the ship's systems had been behaving, and...

God, he hated hospitals. He hadn't realized quite how much until he'd stepped into one again. All white and clean and smelling of formaldehyde--it made him sick. And it reminded him far too much of some of his less-than-pleasant experiences in recent years.

Sighing, frustrated, Oliver sat back down. "You're just cleaning it!" he snapped. He let go of his arm, not looking at the robot. Maybe he could pretend it was a human treating him.

He was lucky he glanced, however, or he would have missed it coming at him with a needle. He jumped, immediately grabbing his arm. "Hey, I said no!"

"What is the matter with a couple stitches, Ollie? Look at your bandages! The wounds weren't healing right and you're lucky they not infected! Well, so says R2 here. He should know."

His look turned sterner, as yes, he was aware of how much of a nag he was being, but this was ridiculous!

"It's not that bad!" Oliver repeated, although he knew he was fighting a losing battle. He turned back to the robot. It seemed to be eying him menacingly--an impression that was not helped in the least by the needle it was holding. He couldn't suppress a shiver.

He sat for a moment, trying to think. But the robot was beeping at him angrily, and the Doctor was staring at him with a look, and he realized there really was no way out of this. If he was ever going to get off the hospital level, he was going to have to let the robot at his wound first.

He let go of his arm. "Be fast," he mumbled through gritted teeth, turning to glare at the Doctor while pretending he didn't know the robot was coming at him with a needle.
