Springtime Plans

My sister called me today to let me know she would be visiting during Joe's birthday next month. That'll be fun! She's going to be here from May 3rd until the 8th. I got to see her over Christmas, and she usually comes down to visit in the spring. She's grown into a friend, as she matured and finished college. So, I'm glad she'll be coming down ( Read more... )

That would be fun to live so close to those fun parks but also bad as I would probably spend too much money there :) For me it's like one of those "okay every 10+ years maybe I get to visit Disney etc." We have Disneyland about 10 hours away and San Diego's stuff (Sea World) but I don't have any extra funds for trips there that is for sure. We did manage to get to Disneyland a few years back with my husband's family who paid for the tickets and such. Last time I was in Disneworld was 1996, prior to that 1991 and 1989.

Oh I love going to the parks. :) It's nice too to live so close that we can just come home after a day at the park.

Disney is just sooo expensive though. Our Sea World annual passes are $24/month for both Joe and I, for their two parks, and if we were to cancel that and renew later it would be higher. It's a grandfathered rate so I really don't want to cancel it! XD

I really have just wanted to go and wander around the resorts and check it all out at some point though. We've stayed at the campground and it's really awesome, that area alone you could spend the day exploring and not even spend any money. Resort-hopping would be pretty fun just to see the scenes they set at the other hotels.

Disney is definitally major expensive. I think our Disneyland park hopper was $100 a day if I recall correctly....maybe it was more....I forget. I mean, it's worth it but then you have the hotel, food, and the stores etc.....I mean I have to get my Disney stuff after all :D

LOL I agree!! When I was a kid, one park for a whole day was more than enough. But now that I'm older it's like I want a little more variety, especially with how easy it is to travel between the parks. I think park hoppers for Florida residents are ~$90-$100 or so, which is why getting a three-day for $200 with no expiration would be more economical in the long run. But then when you're married, the cost of everything is doubled, so it's not $200, it's $400 and there is NO way I can pay that right now. XD ( ... )

I'm soooo glad the Reo is doing better! (I LOVE that dog) I'm also glad the Marabou is doing well too. :)

Your bobbins are likely binding up in the machine, (albeit ever so slightly), and that's what's causing the thread to get too tight. I'd just get rid of them.

And thanks for the message. I'll try and call you again sometime a bit earlier in the evening. :)

*hugs*

They actually bind when I wind them! The black thread is ever so slightly thinner than the white thread, and I think for some reason that causes it to wind tighter(??) and then they crack. Bummer! I can't use the cracked bobbins, either, because they don't sit in the housing properly so I couldn't sew with them even if I wanted to. Dang. :(
