Well, we are home safe.

Brought with some cute little sculpey figurines I made while at Joe's extended family's reunion thingy. Will have to show pictures. :)

Stopped at a fireworks store on our way through South Carolina. Came away with quite a nice haul for under $25. nomadfox, are you ready to set Florida on fire? >_

Hehe... good luck finding a job at Disney that can support the both of you while Joe's attending Full Sail. Unless things have changed since I lived in the area, you can't have a job and go to the school simultaneously, which makes things pretty difficult financially unless you have some serious savings. Maybe it's gotten better since I moved across town, but none of the guys that I know who graduated from Full Sail were happy with their experience; they felt it was a waste of time and money. Then again, most of them were in the Film program, not Game Design, so YMMV. It's definitely something to research further... but then, you know that already. :)

I've heard good reviews about their game program and know a couple of people that went there. Although you're right about supporting ourselves; I certainly wouldn't be able to do so on a Disney salary. :P It would more than likely be for the fun of it. It is a steep price, though - game design at Full Sail costs a lot more than the film program because it's in higher demand - so we're still kind of stuck on whether or not to bother taking out a loan for it, when he could always just work on his own and try to develop a portfolio. However, Full Sail apparently offers job counseling after you graduate - that is to say, they don't *place* you in a job, but they give you contacts to get in touch with - and that might or might not be a step up from where he is now, with no "real experience" in the field other than hobby

That is on my to-do list, first thing in the morning, getting stuff shipped out. I had to work today, else it would've been done first thing today. ;)
