I rather liked it; it was longer than I expected, but that's fine. Really well crafted, and it was full of touches that made it feel like an older film. And it had plenty of hilarity :)

Quentin Tarantino really loves him some film history.

I also enjoyed it, but I don't think that lemurtanis would (I finally snuck out and saw it without her). It has a certain Tarantino crispness to it that I liked, while clearly showing its war-movie devotion, but it didn't have the same wacky zing that I think makes (for example) Pulp Fiction or Kill Bill accessible to people who wouldn't normally like the genre.

There were fewer "Oh yeah, this is definitely a Tarantino movie" moments than I expected, but they were definitely there.
