[D&D] never thought it would happen to me...

...but it seems my D&D character for Living Forgotten Realms has multiclassed from Warden into Avenger. I'll have to pick a deity soon, I guess. Anyone have any suggestions for a good Forgotten Realms deity for a Shifter Warden? The Avenger stuff I picked seems rather stalkery really, though "Sequestering Strike" is almost always used to ( Read more... )

I really liked that group.

... huh. That's what I was getting out of LFR; a nice community sense. Neat.

Oh, and Tempus is good if you can take Channel Divinity feats. I don't remember if you can as a multiclassed avenger.

Nope. Until Hybrids come out or until they make Channel Divinity somehow addable through a Feat or other feature, MC Avengers don't get CD.

Tempus.

That is the only god that an Avenger should have.

Or Tymora. But only under duress. :)

In LFR, you can't take an Evil God as your Deity. :)

So Gruumsh is just a sad panda.

Avengers do a lot of battlefield movement. My 7th level Avenger more or less can teleport, shift or move extra each round such that he's twice as mobile as any other character (except maybe a Barbarian).

Sequestering Strike is extremely useful for making sure that a Pursuit Avenger gets to use his Oath power for two attack roles.

I'm glad you're enjoying it.

The warden's not bad for mobility powers either - Thunder Step (teleport 5 before the attack), Form of the Relentless Panther Attack (shift your speed before the attack)... all great stuff.

My defender is extremely striker flavored now, it turns out.

That's a good way for a defender to be flavored. Bad guys disappear faster!
