So, I'm finally back in the land of the LJing. I had a couple of big jobs to do at work and an attack of almost-Catholic guilt conscience but I've now reached a compromise with my Puritan work ethic. You're post also reminded me of a dream I had last night - I was in high school, the first day of class and it listed me as being in band and playing the clarinet! I was supposed to be i choir, not band! oh noes! heehee

Anthony or Joanna Trollope?! I walked past a market bookstall this morning and discovered that "Catherine Cookson" is now a recognised genre, alongside "Crime" and "Thriller"... says a lot about the people where I work, really!

Anthony not Joanna - Barchester Towers to be precise. I think it's a bit like Mozart though ; Trollope and Austen's prose is so perfect it has a kind of soporific effect ! Given that you're in the gun-crime capital of the country I guess an outbreak of Catherine Cookson's not that bad. Better to have romantic fiction in your handbag than a revolver I suppose !
