I've been back from SDCC for a week, but I've been existing in a kind of limbo where I haven't acknowledged that I now must continue with my regular life until today. ComicCon sounds so awesome! How was the ThiefCon? How many people were there? Was it fun?

ThiefCon was great. There were a pretty decent number, actually -- about 7-10 from my memory, maybe a few more. We actually had to move to a bigger place to get everyone together to talk. It was really awesome to meet MWT and talk about books with her -- I got to hear her thoughts on a couple other writers and books, which was cool, and about her own writing process. She asked a really cool question about how we think the people of Sounis offer book recommendations, because in her experience the book recommendations are more successful on our LJ site than anywhere else, but I had to go during that conversation, so I don't know if everyone came up with reasons. One suggestion was that lots of us are librarians who have experience with reader's advisory, and I do agree with that ( ... )

Sounds like a great meetup. I really enjoy hearing Megan's perspective on books and authors--though we like a lot of the same books, she sees things that I don't, when it comes to the writer's craft. No one has posted about it on sounis, so thanks for the personal update.
