These sound really good--sometimes I'm looking for the right book for 6th graders who say they like fantasy but don't want a 500-pg book. Thanks for the rec.

You're welcome! I'd like to know what you think about Cosmic when you're done -- I loved Millions but I haven't read any of Boyce's books since then. I have this one on my to-read list.

To be honest, I'm *this* close to giving up on Cosmic. It's not that it isn't good--it is, and very funny, too--but it's just not keeping my attention. Too young for me, I suspect. It's cute, and reminds me a little of Charlie and the Choc. Factory, not sure why. Maybe I'll stick with it...

Maybe I will try it while reading The Knife of Never Letting Go. I need something funny to help me recover from all the anxiety and fear I experience while reading it.

Hey, do you follow Reading in Color (blackteensread)? That seems like a teen review blog you might like.

I just learned the author grew up in Bolingbrook, Illinois! That's SO close to where I grew up in Joliet and we visited that school for tennis matches and such; it's awesome. She is only a year younger than me as well, so we were even there at the same time. It's so cool to find out these random things about authors sometimes.
