Book Review Round-Up, Part Two: November

I am on such a roll that maybe I will post December today, too. Then again, UHD is playing season 4 of Battlestar Galactica today starting at 5 p.m. Mountain time (first five episodes today; the rest next Sunday), and I need to catch up badly before 4.5 starts in a couple weeks. I don't think I can watch BSG and write book reviews.

Wow, I haven't heard of any of these. I'll probably pass on the adult books--they all sound pretty hard core--but Bad Kitty and this sequel sound great!

Terry Brooks is the only adult fantasy on the list above that isn't hardcore. He's pretty mainstream and has a ton of books. The Warded Man is the one I see most appealing to teens -- three teen protagonists who lose their families and go on to discover powers, etc., and nothing too sexy or mature.

Bad Kitty and Kitty Kitty are hilarious. The plots are totally improbable (especially in the first one) but that's part of the fun! Plus, they are quick reads. Always a bonus for kids and librarians. (c;
