[That's a long time! You know you're always welcome to come down here and get your drive-in fix. For example, there's this superhero movie coming out this summer, and we are planning on catching it at the drive-in opening weekend. I have a spare camp chair available...

Not that that's going to be the only time I see the superhero movie in question, of course. >.>]

Not going to lie, me personally I think I'd be more excited about the flea market part of that, but probably only because I've never been to a drive-in. (We don't really have them in the UK. It's not a thing.) Nevertheless, my darling, I am very glad that you'll be able to partake in one of your favouite things at the proper time. :D

I'm excited about the flea market bit too - mostly because I'll be with Sara, who has a compatible sense of the the ridiculous as I do. But yes, I really do love the drive-in [which I know isn't obvious. ;P], and opening night is a big deal around here. There was a flurry of facebook posts and phone calls here yesterday, when we saw the news - it's not just me, see?

I should prolly write up a bit of an essay on the whole drive-in thing at some point.

What??? No drive-in?! Well, you'll have to plan you trip here in the summer, so we can make sure to go to the drive-in. :D

I would not say no to your meta-musings on the subject of drive-ins. :D? After all, I am this close to making an A7X primer, so you guys on flist know what the hell I'm on about half the time. The problem is, once I figure out where to start, where do I stop? /o\

lol I was actually talking with the girls about roadtripping the US one day soon, just flying out to Boston (it's really, really cheap, something like a few hundred to gly straight there as opposed to the few thousand it would cost to fly straight to Queen City :/) and driving from there. We either have to wait a few years - the only one of us who can drive just turned 22, and you have to be 25 to drive in the US without a US licence /o\ - or drag my cousin along with. I might use the, your bf hates flying, so have a girly holiday with us, argument. But yes, point is, it might end up happening soonish! :D?
