i've fixed the problem by ticking the 'style=mine' box for now. i miss seeing everyone's lay outs but at least the custom comment box on mine seems to let me comment. unlike the other one. :|||

it's the box up the top of the page on the lj bar next to 'x is your mutual friend'. then it has a ticky box for 'view in own style'. that makes every journal you open in your style.
I am not having trouble commenting, apart from if I hit "reply" and start typing, the response immediately goes into the "subject" field instead of the "message" one.
Hope they get this straightened out soon. Improvements like this we could do without!

I filed a complaint with lj feedback over the same issue when I use Firefox, though chrome has similar problems. I was adviced by lj to disable a grease monkey script that I use to block people from posting using their facebook or twitter accounts. I haven't tried it yet, but I figure it's information worth sharing.

Okay, that is super sketchy. I mean, the new comments *look* like something that would be on Facebook. This smells like sneaky info-sharing ahoy! to me. >:{
