And hey, I'd originally thought about Neferious Porpoises at the name, which would allow for epic Egyptian tropes too! Maybe a recurring Anubis theme also - you know, like Evil Ed but far cooler.
Hmmmm, I think you're right in that shredding is definitely firmly associated with string instruments for me. (I'm sure you could shred a harp for example, or a lyre :-) What kind of word/phrase did they use to describe what jazz horn players did? Like Louis Armstrong back in the day, or Charlie Parker or someone like that.

Whee! A drabble storm! Gogogogogogo!
Here, I'll help you. :D
You should write me one.
A Supernatural one, from early in the series when the boys were roadtripping and hunting. Prompt... razor in the apples, alligators in the sewers.

That's the important first step - a good name.
Next - I shall learn to play something!
Though I do play a mean kazoo...
Maybe punk rock kazoo - that's a good hook, don't you think?

Question: is shredding only a guitar/string-based verb? Could one shred on a kazoo? And if not, what would be the better verb?
I'm willing to poll on this, but thought I'd ask you first.

*laughs and laughs*
Hmmm... maybe 'wails'. Though I'm not sure that one can wail on a kazoo.

Punk rock kazoo is pretty sexy, so that makes sense...
