Poetry for a Sunday morning

Morning!

[Considering the inevitable time iterations, it's no longer morning for half of you and is no longer Sunday for a handful more. But we can *pretend* it's still Sunday morning. Yay for the arbitrary nature of time!]

kimberly_tries had posted this poem earlier today. I'm re-posting it over here, because...well, it struck a chord with me, and I wanted to ( Read more... )

Ninja-vampire-accountant!coffee is made of win. It must be extra invigorating. I'm glad I'm going to work today and back to my emo lesbian coffee cups, or I would be so jealous.

I would love to say something thinky and profound about your choice of poetry, but it's too early in the morning. Sorry.

Emo lesbian coffee cups???? Oooo... I want to see that too!

Hee! I don't actually expect thinky type thoughts about this stuff - I always flail when it hapens, but I'm well aware it mostly hits people at weird times. Honestly? The comment's enoguht for me. :D

I hope your work day proves shiny.

That's incredibly cute! And I don't know... it looks like they're both wearing dresses. [Not that that's truly a helpful way to tell gender, but it supports your emo lesbian theory nicely.] Using that mug would make my work day happier too. :D

Your hair's just like that? COOL.

Everyone needs a few more ninja vampire accountants. The only way it could be better? Unicorns.

That's my feeling - add in a few ninja vampire accountants to your day, and you really feel like your getting somewhere on that whole world domination issue.

Unicorns!
Any particular kind of unicorns?

You can imagine my glee when I first saw Dan's character pottery. The only thing that could possibly make that mug more awesome would be if the eyes were red. [Some of his vamps have red eyes.]

I'm drinking my coffee out of it this morning...

Lovely, fascinating poetry -- I've been meaning to read more Pound ever since I found out he translated Chinese poetry.

I am in love with your ninja vampire accountants. They are very INOK-Iero-esque, somehow.

I've been curious about Pound's Chinese translations, but haven't found it locally to preview. I find that Pound can either be amazing and accessible or the poetic equivalent of a gorgon's knot, and my frustration threshold is not as high as it used to be.

My first impression was that the ninja vampire accountants were *very* INOK...but I hadn't made the Iero connection. *claps* I see what you mean. [I tended to get caught up in the 'I bet Gerard would dig this mug' thought-train, you see. It a pretty sizable mug - lots of coffee fits in it. :)]
