Shiny is a high compliment for crows, you know. :D Thank you so much. I'm glad that you enjoyed them. More should apparently in the near future, as I'm working on this 'verse as part of my November writing challenges.
Wow, I just stumbled across this and really enjoyed everything I read! This 'verse is so interesting and exciting. I'm really just an lj lurker, reader, sporadic commenter, but wanted to let you know I'm glad I stopped by and started reading!
Thank you for commenting - I'm so glad you enjoyed what you read here. As someone who was a strict lurker in fandom for years before getting involved, and someone who still tends to linger in the shadows, it really means a lot to me that you liked my 'verse enough to let me know. Thank you! And there will be more - as I stated above, there's a pile of sections simmering away.
Ooo! This is fantastic! I love being in this fandom; I keep thinking I've read all the good stuff and then I stumble across something totally new and wonderful! I'm very excited to see where this goes.
Quick question for visualizing purposes (which you are totally free to ignore if it's annoying): Bob' shape shifting. Are we talking about a man to man-in-a-wolf-suit or a man to animal type change? There was a reference to an arm that threw me a little. Of course, I've only read the first two unlocked bits so far, and it's 2am, so I may have just missed a vital sentence somewhere.
Either way, brilliant stuff! Thanks for putting it out here.
Thank you! I know what you mean - I'm always finding some new delight tucked away in the corners of bandom. It's a great fandom to be in. I'm so glad to hear that you've enjoyed what you've read so far. :D
Trust me, no questions are annoying. This 'verse thrives on questions, actually. Regarding Fianan shifts - there are three different forms folks like Bob possess. Man, Wolf and a hybrid combining the two. It's more wolfish than the classic movie Wolf Man. Generally, if there's fighting going on, the Fianan in question is wearing that middle form; if they are out in the woods/ wilderness, they're wolves. Does that clear it up for you or make it more confusing? Feel free to ask any other questions as well.
Thank you for your kind comments. Feedback like this is very inspirational.
Totally sums it up for me...which is helpful since I was wondering. The big epic sprawling stories are both fabulous and frustrating sometimes - you get all this big world to explore and discover and hidden things happening in the background...but you always end up wanting more details, more stories, just 'more' Thanks for the backstage pass to see the hidden stuff - very cool, and will be anxiously awaiting anything else that comes from this 'verse!
You said above that "currently, only 'Give 'em Hell, Kid' and the second half of 'Bound By Events Greater Than Himself' are locked", but 'I Never Had a Fear', both parts of 'Choosing Who's Left and Who's Leaving', and part 1 of 'Bound By Events Greater Than Himself' also seem to be locked. Please take pity on those of us who are without ljs and unlock them so we can at least read all the ready-for-release parts of your awesome story?
I'm not sure how I managed to miss switching all the Brian fic over to public access - thanks for bringing that to my attention! I unlocked 'I Never Had a Fear' also, though I'd like to once more state that it's terribly rough, so please read it with a grain of salt.
I'm curious, anon, how you happened upon Traveling Show without an LJ. Are you on dW?
I was looking through this post again and was suddenly struck by the thought, "Did I ever send that wallpaper I made for TS years ago to T???" Because it isn't in the art part of the list and I can't for the life of me remember!
Well, that's a relief. I tried to find copies of any correspondence we might have had but I couldn't find anything and that made me even surer I'd imagined the whole thing :-)
I don't know how much chatter there was about it, email-wise. But it *did* reach me, and I remember waving my hands about it, and telling the parts I liked best, so...
