… yes, the G/B fic I mentioned in my last post has a tentative name now. Just a few notes on it so that I have ‘em somewhere for reference if/when I get around to writing the thing. More notes will be forthcoming later today

Once more it's way too late at night for me to make a coherent comment. Still, I'll do my best.

I really like this idea! I do so love long build up and exploring Garak's more manipulative, calculating side in a seduction type way is purr-worthy (though when you said "predator" my mind of course filled in "sexual" before that and that was just all kinds of wrong *laugh*).

And of course, Bashir masturbating with a sex toy = gold star!

Long build up is long indeed. It takes Garak weeks to move from deciding that Bashir is worth pursuing to actually getting the Human under him, each step carefully calculated for maximum impact. By the time they finally get down to it (after a masquerade party, oddly enough) Bashir is half-crazy with pent up frustration and the sex is (I hope) explosive. (Part of what pushes Bashir to that point are the events of "The Search", when he sees Garak "die" in the Dominion simulation and realizes that the thought of losing his Cardassian friend is genuinely agonizing. Garak couldn't have planned it better himself.)

And of course, Bashir masturbating with a sex toy = gold star!

Isn't he adorable and hot? Garak certainly thinks so. The sex toy incident happens shortly after "The Search", when Bashir starts seriously thinking about taking things to the next level.

Weaving in canon and adding a masked ball just makes it even more better! (So good my grammar fails!)

Really, I can't wait to read this 'fully written' so to speak - the UST and casual touching will kill me, but in a good way! I forgot to say earlier, but the massage bit was to die for!

And yes, Bashir is adorable (and hot). I like how Garak slowly comes to realize he's falling for Bashir and that he's just as swept up by this bit of seduction as Bashir is (and Quark noticing the flirting is yay!).

While Garak watching Bashir without Bashir knowing is slightly creepy, it's a good, in-character kind of creepy! But stars know what Bashir would do if he ever found out how this all got started...

On a completely unrelated note:

We all know Garak tied up is hot as a supernova, so would you mind terribly if I wrote some G/B smut about that? I just thought I'd ask first - since we've been discussing that scenario a bit - and say I will do my best to in no way copy your takes on Garak's reaction to such a situation.

I have no problem whatsoever with you writing a Garak-tied-up fic (hell, I'll be first in line to read it!), so by all means go right ahead. :) I look forward to the results with bated breath!

The story you have here is rather like the antithesis of my Surprising Revelations story. I really like this version of Garak, he's so devious and insidious. At some point I am going to have to try to write a more devious Garak, but for some reason I love exploring his softer more vulnerable side.

I will be very happy when I see this story over on doctor_tailor. :-)
