Doctor Leonard McCoy injected the hypospray into his own arm. It wasn't something he did much but this was an emergency. It was not because his appendix was infected, it was fine, but because while he trusted he could play sick well enough to fool most people he did not think he could trick a fellow doctor for long, no matter how primitive.
He felt uncomfortable as his temperature began to rise. Stuffing his medical bag in the window box and went to lay on the couch, more because he had to now than for show.
He could not believe he was playing bait for a killer, a vampire, a doctor.
The latter made him feel sicker than any drug. He found himself holding his stomach anyway.
This could go badly. This could go very badly.
