Martha smiled at Jack when he opened the door, not-so-surreptitiously looking at him to try and gauge his condition. (Well, she was a doctor, after all; it was what she did.) "Hello, Jack," she greeted him. Behind him, she saw Ianto and another man she didn't recognise (though she wasn't surprised to see that he was rather good-looking).

Gwen reached the door not long after Martha, and she smiled, excited to see her old friend had showed.

"Martha!" she greeted, and poked her head around the door, grinning a greeting at Ianto and Jack, before catching sight of the new guy. "Oh, who's your friend?" she asked mischievously.

Until, of course, she sensed the oddly sombre tone of the room, and at that point her eyes focused on Jack. "What's this about, Jack?"

"Martha!" Jack cried as he opened the door, with an exuberant smile that was perhaps a touch overdone and faded too soon. He noticed her checking him over, of course, but he was used to that from - well, from pretty much every member of his team so he just rolled his eyes gently and began to usher her in, pausing when he saw Gwen coming down the corridor to join them.

"Gwen! Glad you could make it," he said, smiling again, standing back to let them in. "Come on in, both of you. This is Castiel. We explored the near future together. He's a good friend, and he has some... powers that could be useful. Castiel, this is Doctor Martha Jones, and ex-PC Gwen Cooper. Gwen is a full-time member of Torchwood, and Martha works for UNIT, just popping out occasionally to help us or the Doctor save the world."

Martha moved into the room to let Gwen in and took a seat, nodding a greeting to Castiel and Ianto. "You make it sound so easy, Jack," she joked - though it did rather seem that the lot of them saved the world on a fairly regular basis. She wasn't quite sure what Jack meant by 'powers', but she figured it was probably some sort of magic or...well, something.

"I haven't been to the near future yet," she offered. "Is that the one everybody keeps warning us away from?"
