Sally was chewing on the end of a pencil, sitting against the outside of the gate, with a notepad balanced against her knee.  She was trying to figure out what to write in this message to the outer world, and knew she had to make it good.  It might be the only chance they had to get out of here.

Her thoughts drifted idly to the other night, when her stupid body had revolted against the drinks Tony had made for her.  She'd decided that was the ideal time to go change her outfit again, so that she could have another yowza moment from Tony when she finally came back, to help him forget about the whole getting sick episode.  But she'd gotten carried away getting dolled up again, and by the time she'd gotten back, the place had been empty, a few balloons floating around the room, looking rather despondent.

Have to think about practical things, she reminded herself.  Escape.  Killing unicorns.  Protecting my secret.

Sally looked up with a frown, wondering where Femur was at.  Their plan was to throw messages attached to rocks over the perimeter, which seemed completely sound and reasonable to Sally.  It hadn't crossed her mind that no one might actually venture near the perimeter other than perhaps the people who were in on this whole thing anyway.
