Dan had wandered back to the library after his talk with Rorschach; it bothered him how much the man had changed. He was speaking weird, acting weird - not at all like himself. Not at all like the man he remembered.

It bothered him, and there was nothing he could do about it except let it take its course. He would have to find some place to keep his things - he really wanted some space, some time to think before he had to see his former partner again.

He didn't expect to see anyone else there - but he spotted the boy and smiled faintly. Dan moved to a shelf - he didn't want to interrupt the other if he didn't want to be bothered.

Tom felt a presence enter the room. He looked up a bit to see who it was. It was some random person he didn't know. He's an adult, he must know something, so Tom began thinking of an approach to talk to the guy. Pretending to be still reading, we wondered if this guy knew anything about this place. He is searching for a book most probably. Seeking knowledge about the place? Tom wasn't sure. Tom shut the boring book closed and placed it on the arm of the arm chair. Schooling his true emotions behind an innocent mask he uses so well, he looked up from his book properly this time and looked at the man.

"Excuse me sir." Tom began, sounding a tad nervous and unsure. "I was wondering if you could help me. I seem to be lost. Would you happen to know where the owner of this castle is?"

The boy reminded him of Adrian - it might have been a passing resemblance or the way the other spoke. Dan paused in what he was doing and put the book back on the shelf.

"Hi." A pause, as he listened. "I don't know either, I'm sorry. I just got here." Daniel said, looking apologetic.

"But maybe we can find out something together."

Tom listened to the guy for a moment before pretending to look sad. This guy looked strange and very muggle. Tom's got him thinking that he is an innocent little kid who was just a bit curious and ended up at this dump; at least that's what it seemed when Tom carefully looked on the surface of the guy's mind. He didn't go any deeper for that may cause some confusion on the man's side and Tom didn't want that. Not yet. Information now. Destruction later. Though Tom didn't let that on. It seemed to Tom that everyone was tricked into coming to this hell ( ... )
