Someone had been murdered. Killed by something stronger than a man, with white short hairs and four inch fangs. The Doctor couldn't help but wonder if he had arrived just a little sooner if that man would still be alive. The best he could now was make sure whatever killed the gardener wasn't going to kill again. He left with Sam Winchester from the castle, and made his way toward the Culpeper gardens. After all, a garden was a good place for a gardener, and maybe he was there when the initial attack began. Well, it was either that, or wander around aimlessly, the Doctor reasoned.

Unfortunately, the gardens were a lot bigger than the Doctor had originally estimated... though that was understandable considering the last he'd seen of them was from two thousand feet in a helicopter. He couldn't remember exactly when he first realized what a huge amount of trouble this ticket was going to end up being. But he reckoned now it was somewhere around when the copter had crossed the threshold into the castlegrounds.

Now he didn't think this because trouble was a safe bet, nor did it have anything to do with the fact that he found the ticket nailed rudely to the side of his TARDIS door -- no this was a definite knowing of something being horribly off. In this case, it was time. There was too much of it here. He could feel it like a pulse with too many beats. It didn't exactly bother him, but it wasn't something he could ignore either. It was just there.

And as the Doctor strode forth down the beginning of the garden path, he was fortunate to find that their search was at least taking place in some really spectacular gardens. The Doctor figured there was no use in being negative.
