Doyle and Cordelia had decided to explore the grounds some, luckily they haven't seen anymore vampires or any demons (expect the one that responded to Doyle's message). There was still no sign of Angel and Doyle was growing wiry, maybe they shouldn't have killed Spike so fast - that is, if he knew where Angel was. Then there was a few people on the phone that claimed Spike helped them and what not, Doyle knew it had to be an act, there was no way Spike was good.
Doyle heard something in the distance and he moved ahead of Cordelia. He didn't want her walking into any unknown danger and who knew what else could be here.
Doyle stopped dead in his track when he found what was making the noise. "Cordelia.." he called back in a worried voice. "Nice dragon.." He put his hands up in the air in a way to show that he meant no harm and started to back away slowly.
The days after staking Spike had been full of exploration and little more. Doyle stayed on the couch to protect Cordelia at night and in the days the pair of them did their best to get comfortable with the area. Today had them outside the castle. Cordy had seen (and heard) enough about the interior with the strange portals to other dimensions or whatever they were that before they would try any buttons they ought to know what dangers lurked outside as well
( ... )
At the sound of someone walking, D'athe turned, a burble of excitement rising in his throat that got a bit stuck when he saw the human stopping. Oh, don't run away, please don't run away, I'm not going to hurt you, he thought at the man, hoping that maybe he could hear him, though he was never quite sure who could and who couldn't.
He listened as the other human arrived, letting out a soft, pleading warble when she started to back away as well. Please tell me you can hear me? And don't run away?
Doyle continued to back away, "I don't know Cordy, just continue to back away as slow as we can." This place really did have everything, killer unicorns, dragons, buttons that alow you to travel I time...what else could there be?
The dragon didn't seem to be harmful and for some reason Doyle felt like he should stop. He stood there looking at the thing, there was something about the vampire that he couldn't quite place. He almost thought he heard the dragon talking , in his head, but he had to be crazy right? It wasn't very clear or anything but he just had this feeling. "You're a nice fella, ain't ya?" Doyle took a small step toward with dragon, his hands still up in the air.
