Sam had been walking to the kitchen again, pretty intent on making the food for the castle again in his bored state. He liked cooking, honestly he did. But there was yelling coming from outside of the main door. Sam rose a brow at the loud sound that followed, probably a kick. Yelling and kicking the castle wouldn't help.

With a small smile he pulled open the door of the large castle, And even though he looked tired, he offered a hand. "You know... You shouldn't kick something this much bigger than you. Detective Inspector Sam Tyler... You're new right?" And she looked vaguely familiar, nagging somewhere in the back of his mind. Something he should be excited or nervous about. He pushed it away.

While she was bouncing around on her other foot and trying to wish that she hadn't kicked that thing, she winced all up until she saw who it was. It was like looking at a ghost. Well that was ironic, for ironic's sake really. But really, that was the last person she ever expected to see. But then in a weird way, it kind of made sense. If Sam had already moved on.. and now she had..

Alex blinked a bit. "I.. know who you are." Her eyebrows furrowed together for a moment. She finally shook his hand and nodded. "I know, I'm just.. I wasn't expecting this, I guess? I was expecting a white light and my family members or something. Right, sorry. DI Alex Drake. I didn't think I'd ever get to meet you."

That was strange... She knew who he was? How did she know. His mind raced over options as he shook her hand, things sort of settling and making sense when she mentioned her rank. "Alex Drake... From Hyde." He had been with the group long enough that he'd adapted that as a better way of saying 'the future'.

"I know your name... And this isn't heaven. This is a trap of some sort." He gave something of a shrug then, rubbing at the back of his head after releasing her hand. "It'll be nice to have another officer though, trying to keep track of things when it's just the Guv an' I is pretty difficult."

This was getting pretty confusing.

She nodded her head a little and still glanced around. "That's me, yeah." Though she wondered how he knew that. But of course she'd been looking him up before she had been shot. That was probably it. Maybe he remembered her from when they were both alive. And both in their right time lines. Much better than saying 'the future'

A trap? How did was that supposed to work? "The Guv is here? But I just saw him a minute ago. I mean right before I stepped onto that stupid helicopter." If anyone was responsible for a trap, it would be him. But the way Sam said it, it didn't seem like Gene was responsible.

"What trap? I mean that was supposed to be it. I was supposed to move on. Me and Shaz and Chris and Ray.. we just.. moved on. And instead there was this note.."
