Adonis lay sleeping in the straw. He was laying with his legs curled up and his chin resting against the floor, ears relaced and eyes closed. He was warm and comfertable and felt reasonably safe where he lay.

After a rather eventful night, morning seemed to have come quickly to the castle. Dree was in the kitchen, finishing off a very large mug of tea and collecting apples and some other food for Adonis.

While she was on duty to watch Alexei, she had requested her shift start after she had managed to check in on her new friend, as she had promised the night before.

After setting her mug in the sink, Dree grabbed the basket and headed for the stables. It was shaping up to be a very nice day, she noted, as she moved across the courtyard. When she reached the door to the stable, Dree wondered if she should knock, but realized that no one she had ever known had knocked on a stable door before, so she hauled it open and stepped inside.

Adonis heard the door open and rose to his feet, shaking some straw off his body and peaking over the stable door enough to nicker to her. "Hello." he said shortly after the friendly sound. He was alone in the stable, the other horses had, by persons unknown, been taken outside while Adonis had continued to nap. but now he looked refreshed and happy to see her. "Good morning!" he chimed ears twitching a bit.

Dree's eyes widens lightly, seeing the empty stable. Where had everyone gone? As soon as her brain realized her thought, Dree shook her head and looked up at the sound of movement.

When she saw Adonis pop up from behind the wall, she smiled and continued into the stable. "Where did the others go?" she asked with a cheery grin.

As soon as she was near enough, Dree pulled a bright green apple from the basket and held it up. "Least you won't have to share."

"They were gone when I woke up." he looked about to see none of the other horses there.

But that worry was instantly forgotten when he smelled the apple, which he spotted right after, bouncing back and forth behind the stall wall in eagerness, ears perked and tail raised. "Apple apple apple!"
