Dairine had woken up from a nap and decided to go wandering. That was basically what her days were made up of--sleep, find something to eat, wander and hope for something to happen. it was maddening. She wanted to be doing something, but there wasn't much that could be done. At least they were a bit more organized and had a better idea of what direction to take things in. Still, it was hard, and sometimes it was easy to lose hope ( ... )

Coffee, Reid thought. Coffee coffee coffee coffee, his mind chanted. Possibly he'd been developing more of a dependence on the substance than was healthy. Without much to do all day, he'd taken to consuming even more than he had back home. He knew he'd be paying for it at some point with an awful withdrawal, but for now he just gave into the craving whenever he felt it.

Possibly he was too focused on obtaining the beverage, as the sight of Dairine and the pile of gifts made him nearly jump out of his skin. "Dairine! I, um, haven't seen you in a while." He approached the pile of gifts cautiously. "Are those.. for us?"

((OOC: Hey there! I wasn't sure if you wanted to have company or not, so if you'd prefer to have a solo thread just let me know and I'll delete this.))

"Hey!" Dairine said, looking up at Reid. "And, yeah..." She glanced back at the packages. "I guess they are. At least, there's one here for me. You should look."

She scooted backwards to allow him better access to the gifts. She still hadn't opened the card, a fact that she recognized was mainly due to the fact that she had no idea what it could possibly say.

((Definitely wanted company. :) Welcome!))

Lou had been spending less time in the future lately and more in the cold and drafty present. When he had first heard about the hotel in the future where their every need had been catered to, he wondered why anyone would spend any time in the modern day at all. Now he knew. The people there were just too... Weird. And while the other people in the castle were pretty peculiar, at least they reminded him a bit more of home. Something familiar, more or less. Much as he'd bemoaned his life before he got here, he was actually thinking back on his friends and neighbors with a certain heartsickness now ( ... )

As Jack and the other's ooo'd and ahhh'd over their presents Gray came in silent. As normal for him he tried to remain unnoticed, quietly hunting rummaging for the making of a meal. He glanced over at the rest, idly considering perhaps making enough for them as well when something caught his eye. It was silly of course but Gray couldn't help to go closer to the linen wrapped gift. But it wasn't the box that had his interest, rather it was a card with a childishly draw mouse like how his brother use to draw his stuffed animal from long ago.
