Alexei lit up as much as the boy could possibly light up by the sigh of Master, and he wrapped his arms around the older man, hugging him close as the other led him aside. "I was looking for you." he said softly. "I cannot find my brother or my Master." he said weakly, seeming more childish then he actually was by holding on to masters shirt.

The Master was certainly not expecting to be hugged so tightly, and he stiffened for a moment before forcing himself to relax and accept the hug with an avuncular smile. No way he was going to turn down that sort of loyalty - so freely given, despite the fact he hadn’t even bothered to contact the boy for so long.

“Well, I’m here now,” he laughed, a little breathless due to the hug, glancing round to make sure no-one was watching them. “I’ve been waiting for you, actually. I saw you go into that meeting and thought I’d wait around until you came out - make sure you were all right, you know? That was very brave of you, going into a room full of humans like that.”

"It was hard." he said when he pulled loose. "I am hungry, and it smelled so good." he bit his lip a bit, seeming to fight himself. "I have to find something to eat soon, or I will.. go sick." he looked at Master with those dead eyes. "Master, do you know where I can find something to feed from?"

"Well, you were even more brave, then, in that case," the Master said warmly, thinking quickly. Where to get food for the boy, considering that the kitchen, when he'd last visited it, seemed extremely low on all stock and completely void of bags of blood. Too risky to have the boy munch on the population of the castle, since it had got so small, even though there were certain people here he'd dearly love to see tricked and killed by this small vampire. Which left the distant future, with its high security and bright lights everywhere - or the closer future, with its little bands of starving, desperate sub-humans. Probably not the best meals for the little boy, but certainly the place he was most likely to be able to drink his full.

He looked down at Alexei, coming to a decision. "Come with me," he said, holding out a hand to the boy. "I'll take you where you can drink without annoying too many people, and in return, you can tell me all about what happened at the meeting. How about that, hmm?"
