The sun was shining, glinting off the moulded steal that snaked it's way up Tony's arm. Tony didn't want to leave the sun just yet, not after the darkness, the anguish, of the night before. It seemed a million years ago now as he strode across the gently sloping lawns towards the lake, armed once again. He caught sight of his companion out of the corner of his eye. He was impressed by Gwen Cooper. She was rather more down to earth than the women he normally spent time with and he found it refreshing. She also seemed to be remarkably calm in the face of things that could even freak Tony out. It must have been something to do with Torchwood. The things she had seen, well, maybe that knowledge could help them here. Tony stepped into the shade of a tree and shivered a little. The lake lay stretched out at his feet. Somewhere in there was a monster, allegedly, maybe. A unicorn wandered up to the water on the lakes' far edge as if to reinforce his belief in the unbelievable. It calmly began to sip from the water, strangely unafraid. Perhaps the monster had died since the journal entry was written? Tony took a step closer and peered into the water.
