So much for being the big damn hero.

"Okay Xander, self, me! Time to do that thinking thing we're not so good at. Think, think, okay, on a scale of one to ten of stupid, this is about an eleven, well that's enlightening. " He bit ( Read more... )

With the weather still being as cold as when she arrived, Willow was having to bundle up extremely well on the occasions she ventured outside the castle. On occasions she did go out, like this, she was quickly left wondering why she'd bothered in the first place. At least being cooped up in the castle didn't mean freezing to death. And it was big enough that it probably didn't really qualify as being 'cooped up' either.

Upon seeing the approaching figure, Willow decided to go and see if they needed company getting up to the castle. Maybe she'd be lucky and they'd turn out to be another legendary figure like Morgana had been. As she came closer, she realised this was even better.

"Xander!" she squealed, after having ran the remaining distance as fast as she could manage in the snow, enveloping him in a tight hug.

((I suck and totally didn't realise no one had responded to Xander yet. D:))

The wind picked up a bit as he drew closer to the Castle, making him squint against the chill in his oh so inconvenient California clothes. But something moving across the snow ahead caught his attention. A rather person-like something, a rather female-something, a rather...Willow-like something? As Xander squinted further to make out the exact details of very Willow-like something that approached him, he barely had time to even make a small unmanly noise of surprise when non other than Willow herself came into view and threw her arms around his neck.

"Ah man, you too, Will?"

"Me too," Willow replied, perhaps a tad too cheerful considering they were stuck here for the foreseeable future. But it was Xander! She couldn't help but be pleased to see him, even if they were trapped. And it could've been worse here (although now she'd thought that, she'd probably managed to jinx herself). "And Buffy," she added. "And apparently Angel, Spike, and Cordelia. Although I haven't run into any of those yet..."

Reluctantly, she loosened her grip on him a little. "Do you want to go inside? You're not exactly dressed for the weather, are you?" she asked, concerned. Although now she looked at him properly, even in the snow, she could see his clothes were kind of outdated, and he looked a little younger too. He was definitely skinnier than the last time she'd seen him. Perhaps he was from even further back than she was, but even if he was she thought she should get him inside before asking about it. The last thing she wanted was him catching hypothermia because she couldn't keep herself from asking 20 questions.
