Vivid memories mingled with nightmares was what Remus escaped from this morning. But it was different. It wasn't of him transforming and hurting the ones he loved. It was the death of Tonks right in front of his eyes ( ... )

Dairine turned and looked at the man. She tried not to look at him like he was crazy, though that was a bit hard. He had come out of one of the other rooms, which implied that he'd already spent some time here, and now was the first time he was getting around to finding out where "here" was?

"Only in general terms," she said. "Some other world, alternate universe, that sort of thing. Unfortunately, it's not one that we've been able to get out of."

Yet, she added silently.

Remus caught that tiny look the young lady was almost showing. Was he really that crazy?

This person probably hasn't been here as long as he had. Probably the same as him; just yesterday. Maybe she's seen Tonks or Teddy but judging by the looks, it doesn't seem like she would have.

Remus nodded and gave a friendly smile. Alternative universe? That was quite interesting.

"If we were able to come here, there must be a way out." Remus said. "I had arrived just yesterday when the sun was going down and the pilot wasn't much help with telling me where I was heading..."

He realized he hasn't introduced himself yet.

"Oh, silly me." Remus said, chuckling a little. "I'm Remus Lupin by the way."

"Dairine," she said in response. "And, yes, that's what I'm hoping." She was referring to there being a way out. In theory, his words made a lot of sense, though of course the spells were saying otherwise. "If you have any ideas as to how to get out..." She trailed off. "I was thinking of looking around the castle a bit more, to see if I could find anything useful."

Spot chose that moment to bump her ankle. She looked down at him, then back up at Remus. "And this is Spot," she added. "My computer."
