Thank you for reading it even though you don't prefer tragedy. You're right that D/E have to put up with a lot of sorrow, but, for me, it hurts so good. ;P

I'm just an angst whore, I think. It's the emo in me. *shrugs* The way that I perceive the insane intensity of Damon's emotions makes it hard for me not to write him as a tragic hero.

Because, well, Elena said it best when she said that Damon really believes everything he does is for love. So it's hard not to swoon, no matter what he does, when you know that he's only doing it because he loves so passionately.

Thank you! I am going to try to write more. I have already started on another drabble (another piece that I thought of doing for WUtW), and I'll try to write some more often in the future. I'm not sure I'll ever be someone who writes epic-length fic, but I think I'd like to get more stories out there.

If there's something in you to write, I say write it!

I love that Elena basically feels like she got all the time in the world to tell Damon or that it needs to be perfect. It's like she doesn't fully understand just how badly she hurting him by waiting. Excellent job and she's right you should write and post more fics.

Sometimes, I kinda feel like Elena spends so much time trying to work through her feelings that she forgets there is a person, on the other side of those feelings, who has feelings of his own. I don't think she's always aware of Damon's perspective on things.
