Answer to lovehurts4ever
I am posting this missive after 4 days of working on it, because I’m not a writer and I really don’t have the time! You see, I’m 59 years old and I drive an 18-wheeler with my husband for a living, and we cover between 150,000 to 200,000 miles every year. I also do the dispatching and all the paperwork. (I

I just friended you and saw your post.
I think there are many reasons for authors' friends-locking their journals and most of them are not because they want to deprive readers of works-in-progress. I have not decided to lock my journal yet, but am considering it based on a number of copyright issues that are swirling around the fandom and also because of privacy issues w/r/t search engines searching the public journals.
If I do lock it, I will friend anyone who wants to finish my stories, so never fear about that.
It's interesting how you differentiate comments and feedback. I'll have to keep that in mind, because I always viewed them as one and the same and now I realize others don't. As an author, I love comments and/or feedback. It gives me a little lift to know that my work is being read and appreciated, but also helps keep me on track if somebody thinks something is going woefully wrong with the story that I need to consider.
Anyway -- I was happy to read your thoughts. Hope all is well.

I think lovehurts4ever is friending whoever wants to be friended. Check back at her live-journal. Things appear a bit different than in the past.

I just read all of your posts. :)
Popping in to say I think you're selling yourself short with your writing. You express yourself VERY well. :)
Also, just wanted you to know, I love it when you pop in just to say 'hi'. I love knowing that you're still reading my story, even after my long hiatus. :)
Good to know your name, my friend. :)
Hugs,
Andrea :)
