I never saw Thank You For Smoking. I'll see it sometime I'm sure. I think the friend might annoy me too. Idk, but I love love love Mikey Cera. That may just be enough to get me in the theater.

Ugh, srsly. It's kind of creepy, like I have a legitimate crush. As if he's not even a celebrity. I'm weird idk.

Honest to blog? Do you think it'll be, dare I say, pretentious?

I thought that too, and it's what I think about with most super indie movies, but I've still heard some good things and I still want to see it, just not as much.

(The OC Syndrome)
Don't call it that. ;)

Yes, I'm fo shizz.

I'm not ruling out it won't be funny. I laughed at quite a few things in the trailer. "No, it's Morgan Freeman." "Next time I see that Bleeker kid I'm gonna punch him in the weiner". But I just hope it's not too quirky and in love with itself.

I call it OC Syndrome because the OC was the most idiotic, self aware, ~quirky and indie~ show ever. Not sayin Juno will suffer from the disease as badly, but I'm worried.

I think you should go see it and decide for yourself. At the beginning, the weird slang is everywhere but it goes away. It is really bad during like the first 5 minutes when she is at the convenience store and Rainn Wilson is behind the counter... then when she tells her friend on the phone she is knocked up. Then it gets a lot better. I really liked the movie. I saw it yesterday with my family and we all loved it. Plus, the soundtrack is great! The great thing about this movie is that there aren't any weak links in the cast. It sometimes felt a little pretentious and in love with itself... but not over the top, annoyingly so.

Yeah, I've heard it gets better as it goes on. I just.......don't want it to suck. I kinda don't want to dislike any movie where I love the actors and the idea so much, you know? IDK.:(

I wish I could see the movie again and have a clear mind of knowing nothing about it or the hype. Imo, it wasn't worth it, I don't get the hype at all. I guess it had it's cute moments but it bored me and it was rushed.
