Unfortunately there is nothing I can do about that. You can send the author a message asking her to unlock it or become friends with her in order to read her stuff.

I didn't think you could do anything to change the status of the post, I just pointed it out because commonly locked entries aren't linked in newsletters, because people locking entries don't want everybody seeing their content and it is inconvenient for people clicking the newsletter to get to dead ends as well. Only sometimes the mods don't notice because they are friended, and link by accident, so I thought this was just an error. I didn't realize this newsletter had a different policy and would link to locked stuff intentionally.

no actually you're right i should remove it. there is no point in having links to locked entries. I hadn't thought about it because it just hadn't come up before.
