I would like to say, I would never have written this if it weren't for this community. It's all. your. fault. I figured, if I'm going to slash one beloved children's classic, why not slash two ( Read more... )

I liked it. I am not familiar with Swallows and Amazon but that was a nice piece of fic.

It's all. your. fault.

Heh. I would gladly accept the blame for this lovely fic. ;) Also, welcome to the community.

I am only familiar with "Chronicles of Narnia," but the good thing about drabbles is that there is not enough of the unknown fandom to confuse me. I can easily think of Titty as her own character that fits perfectly in the world of Narnia. That said, I enjoyed this fic a lot. I love Lucy's wistfulness and her longing for Narnia, and Titty helping her through it is wonderful.

I also thought that the bit of Susan that was mentioned was very in character. And the last line was just perfect. This was lovely. Thank you for writing it and for sharing it.

Oh, thank you. I'm glad it made sense without knowing the second fandom.

'Swallows and Amazons' is a lovely English children's novel about sailing and children's adventures which I adored as a child (and, er, still adore now). It is sort of what the Narnia books would be if they were set in this world. They have many, many similarities and it gave me enormous (guilty) pleasure to cross them.

This is a great idea for a community. It's giving me so many ideas. I'm looking forward to reading other people's work now, though.

I have a tendency to like characters who are odd and often outsiders, so crossing over fandoms is especially fun because someone like Medea may not have her equal in her own world/time, but how cool would she and Klytemnestra be together? And while it's hard to do at times, some pairings just click and fit as Lucy/Titty seemed to fit here. I may have to check out the "Swallows and Amazon" novel.

I look forward to seeing more from you. I might attempt to do the coffee drabble, if I can think of a pairing and I know that Jess is working on one. So hopefully, we'll be getting some more fic soonish.

!!!

Oh my God, Medea/Clytaemnestra. Or Medea/Helen, or Medea/Hecabe... What about Medea/Calypso? The thought of Medea slash hadn't occurred to me, but now I really want to write it.
