1) Resize and crop your base and set the opacity to 50%
2) Duplicate the layer and set it to Color Burn 50%
3) Duplicate again and set it to Overlay 50%. Gaussian Blur it to around 3.0-4.5
4) Fill a new layer with Cyan(#00ffea) and set it to Soft Light 100%
5) Fill a new layer with Red(#ff0000) and set it to Soft Light 100%
6) Fill a new layer with Medium Blue(#6785e0) and set it to Soft Light 100%
7) Fill a new layer with Dark Blue(#040330) and set it to Exclusion 100%
8) Fill a new layer with Cement Gray(#d2d0c3) and set it to Linear Burn 100%
9) Fill a new layer with Sky Blue(#c6fcfe) and set it to Color Burn 100%
10) Fill a new layer with Milky Pink(#ffc5c9) and set it to Soft Light 100%
11) Desaturate the base and set it as the first layer on Hard Light 100%
12) Fill a new layer with Light Brown(#c1a976) and set it to Soft Light 100%
13) Get a
noise texture and set it to Soft Light 100%
14) Duplicate that layer and set to Screen 100%
15) Get a red/black gradient like
this texture by
mag0rian and set it to Screen 100%
16) Duplicate that layer and set to Lighten 100%
You're done. Add a border and some text if you wish. Try different things to make your icon more original.
