New Members: How To Join

Dec 21, 2005 10:43

So, you want to join our madness?

This group is moderated, so to get your membership approved, you'll need to respond to the following post. Here's the information you need to include:

Your name/Handel/LJ:
E-mail:
Chat Client(s) and Screenname(s):
How you found us: (This is just for curiosity and to let us know the best places to advertise)
Character(s):
Brief Bio for each character: (Briefly detailing how they came to be in Sydney (or on the island), and noting any characters they may have brief contact with while in Sydney)
Writing Sample: You can point us to a journal, fan fiction, an RPG that you're currently a part of, whatever

Character Restrictions:
  • As of January 1, 2006 there is now a moratorium on Stargate SG-1 characters. No more Stargate SG-1 characters are being accepted at this time. Stargate Atlantis characters are negotiable, but will likely not be introduced until "Season 2."

  • As of May 12, 2006, it has been decided that no vampire/vampiric characters will be accepted. Nor will any villanous, murderous, or otherwise dark/evil characters. If you have a question about the suitability of a character, please contact the moderator(s) at the following email: crossing.lost [at] gmail [dot] com.

  • As of July 17, 2006 it has been decided that applications for abandoned/unclaimed/NPC characters will be considered first and ahead of any and all other applications. The list of characters currently on the island can be found here. If you wish to submit an application for a fandom character not appearing here, please be aware that applications for abandoned and unclaimed characters are being considered first.

  • If you apply for a fandom character for a fandom already represented on the island, your character must adhere to the timeline that the current fandom character is from. (For example, if you wish to bring in a character from "Angel," then the character must come from mid Season 3 of "Angel.")

Before applying, please read the most recent game posts carefully and make certain that your writing style, story telling style and character ideas/presentation and methods of role-playing compliment and work well with those already involved in the community.

If you would prefer not to reply to a public post, please email all of the above information to crossing.lost [at] gmail [dot] com.
