Chloe turned once to look back the way they came before focusing her attention on their destination again. She wanted to go back. Something had happened, someone was dead--Shannon (in Charlie's body), if what she'd heard was true. Chloe wanted to go see for herself, investigate the scene, ask questions ( ... )

And it wouldn't be wise to get drunk with whatever it was that killed Shannon around, she thought, but there was no point saying that. May's expression when their eyes had met showed that she understood - even on Hiro's unfamiliar face, that was easy to read. Something bad had happened. Just how bad, everyone would find out eventually. In the mean time...

"We all need to stick together," she said. "Something killed Shannon, right in the middle of the bunker. Best not to be alone if you can help it until something can be done about the killer."

My bad, Faith ran off to investigate the howling dog, and is currently where the gruesomeness is. I never had her exit the thread because everything got all convuluted and confused.
