"Barbie's brother?" Rose echoed, shifting her gaze to George in hopes of clarification.

"Boone," George said. "We found Shannon's brother Boone."

Rose lit up with a smile. "Well thank God for that. Is he alright?"

George shared a glance with Faith. Rose said, "Oh my."

"Well, see--" George began.

"Boone went all 'end-of-season cliffhanger' on us," Faith volunteered.

"They," George said, emphasizing They, "have had him for a while, I guess, and he--he found a gun and started shooting at people."

Rose gave a little gasp and put a hand to her mouth. Sawyer shook his head as if saddened but not surprised. Hugh and Sue had strangely similar reactions; just a tightening of the mouth as if they weren't surprised at all, just angered by what had happened to Boone.

"Anybody hurt?" Hugh asked.

"A couple of people got hit," George said, "but nothing serious. Flesh wounds. Everybody is okay now. Well, everybody who got shot. Ami and Rose and Daisy were kinda traumatized. They're still recovering."

The rings were a nifty device indeed, Ash thought, but awfully damned noisy.

He scrambled to his feet. He wasn't expecting anyone for a while yet. It was probably someone from the camp, curious about what was down here or just joyriding on the rings--but maybe not. Best to be prepared in case of an unpleasant surprise.

The flare of light was dazzling. Fortunately, by the time the rings had vanished Ash had regained his sight. It was a woman. Faith.

Ash smiled. "Well, helloooooooo nurse!"

Faith gave Ash her patented playful grin and tossed her head. "Hey, stranger. You missed all the fun. Not that watching our asses wasn't all good and that, but things got really interesting on our end, after we found the girls.

"So, you feel like coming back with us, or maybe taking a ride on the crazy Star Trek pillar thingie and gettin' a shower, some food, and delivering some serious strong-arm and ass kicking to the sons of bitches that grabbed our friends?"

So, are we going to play out the rest of George & Faith's trip to the beach or take it as read? I doubt they're going to bring any NPCs back (we've got plenty of folks at the bunker already), so they can brief the beachees and collect belongings off-camera if you want.

I say let's take it as read. We'll say they're both back at the bunker, loaded up with personal belongings, some sent via the pillar and some driven back to the bunker, via nightfall.

(The only reason I was hanging onto this thread was due to Plan A for the beachees, but now that we have Plan B: Wraith on the Loose, it's not a big deal.)
