Even from the base of the Clock Tower where Vanessa stood, looking out at the rest of this Wonderland, she could tell that it was not going to be anything like she was used to. Growing up in Los Angeles, she was used to the smog and the buildings, the cars and traffic that came along with it, the boat loads of people who were both native and tourists. She was used to both the ocean and Hollywood being a stone's throw away from her, and late night clubbing with her best friends. High school classes. Fighting evil.
This, all this wide open space was too new for her, and while it may have called to her ancient goddess, it made her miss home all the more. Even Nefandus had sprawling buildings and cobbled streets, void of technology as it was.
The blond glanced up at the sky, wondering if there was a moon here at night and if she would feel the touch of her goddess, even in another world. With a shrug, she tried to push the thought out of her head as she waited for Yamamoto.
