Watching as Yoite pounces on the fifth oyster of the day, he turns back to the four other oysters that they've collected so far, and focuses on lining them up neatly against the rock.
After realizing that these oysters had, not only shoes, but also the ability to talk, Miharu had been much preoccupied with finding a fool-proof way of prevent their catch from simply walking away. Walking four oysters is hard work, for anyone who has never walked an oyster before, and they could talk like the best of them.
After giving them liberal walks all around the forest in hopes of attracting more of their peers, he gave up on keeping them on a makeshift leash, and just sat them all down and tied their shoelaces together.
Five minutes later, he jams the knot of shoe laces into their respective shells, and suddenly, there is a blessed silence that startles him.
A beat, and he turns to where he last saw Yoite. Wait.
... Yoite?]

If Yoite had been the type of person to swear when they got frustrated, he'd be cursing a blue streak. But he wasn't. Instead, Yoite stared at it, wiped the back of one gloved hand against his cheek, probably smearing it with more dirt rather than wiping away dirt. And he chased it.
A copious number of minutes, three falls, two tree climbs, and a piece of what Yoite can only classify as extremely good, dumb luck later, Yoite finds himself with a squirming oyster in his hands.
There was just one problem:
Where exactly was he?]

Standing up, he pulls his little oyster collection onto their feet, and drags them behind him, because oysters with tied shoelaces can't walk at all.
Peering around a tree, he cups his mouth, and in a whisper--]
... Yoite?

All in all, over the course of the day, Yoite was fairly sure that they had ended up rather far from where they had started. But right now, that wasn't the "where" he was looking for.
Picking a direction that Yoite felt was right, he began walking.
And walking.
Walking.
Before he paused, evaluated his surroundings, decided that yes, this was familiar. And, a little quietly:]
Miharu...where are you?

Whoa!
[the blond tripped over a rock? But then it began to talk]

Walking along, dragging his oysters along, he comes across a blond tripping over an oyster.
A pause.
Before you know it, he's next to you, Oz, and he is stringing up the oyster you just tripped over. Oyster number five, gogogo! Ignoring you for now, but he gives you a curious look. How does one trip over an oyster, anyhow?]

This must be the oysters other people were talking about.

You aren't looking for them?

They're so dumb! Don't they know what's going to happen to them?

Yoite whirls, stares - and for the briefest moment it's a flicker of "kill" in that look before it becomes, again "cold".
And he stares.]

Didn't you hear me? Not saying anything when someone is talking to you is rude, you know!

...
I heard.

...okay. It is not every day that you see a guy dive after an oyster. Taking a step back now.]
Whoa, take it easy. I'm not going to steal yours.

wtg, he just lost sight of the oyster. He'll stand, brushing himself off. A slight tilt of head and a sideways glance from just under the brim of his hat. Somewhere behind the "cold" that inevitably dominates, is a tiny spark of curiosity, perhaps, of who you are, what you want. Or if not curiosity, then at least, a question.
But that's not what he says, instead, have a quiet:]
Hello.

Hey. Aren't you going to catch that one?

Yoite tugs the brim of the cap down, shadowing his eyes. A tiny half turn so he's facing you more than he was before.]
They run quickly.

So here's Roy: running after an oyster, sleeves rolled up, sweat dripping down his brow, out of breath.]
I swear I will cook you when I catch you!

Collision y/y?
Either way, the oyster escapes and Yoite has fallen. Again. Pesky oysters.]

His thoughts are as follows:
1. It wasn't a tree.
2. It was a child brat.
3. I'm going to hell. Again.
Sighing, he leans over to offer a hand to the fallen child, who, judging by the amount of dirt on his clothing, had fallen a few times before.]
My apologies.

...It's fine.
[He is, however, a little annoyed that the oyster is nowhere in sight.]<
