The Joker swore under his breath as he stared down his empty bucket. Weren't these stupid oysters supposed to be easy to find?

Not that the Clown Prince particularly minded his vagrant lifestyle---living in the Perry Grand Carnival each night---but as soon as the challenge to find these magic oysters had come, he knew that everyone in Wonderland would be spreading like wildfire to find these puppies. A chaotic race to grab as many oysters as possible for the best house yet? Now that sounded like a recipe for disorder.

That, and living in an actual house, with an actual bed may be better for his back than those stupid benches.

But at this point, he had yet to actually encounter very many oysters. The Joker sucked his teeth bitterly and spat resentfully at his bucket. Saliva met metal with a resounding "PTUNK." A low growl escaped his throat as he impulsively charged the bucket and kicked it high into the air and out of sight.

Kicked the bucket. The Joker laughed to himself as he realized the joke. At least this seemed to cheer ( ... )

There was a resounding clank! as something hit the tree next to her, making her spring to her feet. She blinked. Someone's empty bucket? She looked around for the source of wherever it had come from. When she made out who was standing beyond the trees, she froze.

Him.

But the shock only lasted an instant before her key blade was in her hand. Not this guy. Of all the people to...she looked around. Good, she still didn't see anyone. This was the last person she'd want Kairi or Namine to run into.

He kept walking through the forest, finally spotting his bucket a little ways away. It had landed next to a dark-haired little girl, cloaked in black. She was holding what appeared to be a large... key? The Joker furrowed his brow. Just what the hell was that supposed to be? But the next thing that caught his eye was the presence of a second bucket, just next to her.

The idea blasted through his head like a bullet as his scarred lips stretched into a sneer. Who said anything about playing by the rules for these oysters?

"Mother of pearl," he muttered lowly, tongue flicking out over his scars in anticipation. The Joker reached further into his pocket, making sure his Shifter was in hand as he continued towards the girl. This wouldn't be too difficult. After all, the clown had more than a trick or two up his sleeve...

She planted herself in front of her prize. "Don't even think about it!"

These were the fruits of the last thirty-five minuted of hard labor - he was not getting anywhere near them. Though that smile did give her a very bad feeling. She followed his hands to see what he was pulling out of his pocket.

A shifter. Means he definitely wants to fight...well fine. A fight he'll get.

Her eyes narrowed. "I'm serious. You're not getting these."

00c: gotta eat now.
