So over the weekend TK and I watched The Take (pattern continuing), a British drama starring Tom Hardy. It was dark and pretty good, if not a bit predictable. But I think Hardy might have been miscast, because he was amazing and his performance made Freddy easily the most interesting character in the show. It's from Watching The Detectives which I haven't actually watched yet, I just happened to remember it has a bathroom scene, bwa ha ha~

Potential skeev factor comes from the fact that the scene I took the pics of Hardy from is when Freddy attacks his sister-in-law. It is serrrrriously messed up. But damn Hardy plays it so well you'd never know just looking at these shots, right??

I'll definitely look out for The Take. It's been floating everywhere on my Tumblr dashboard and I'm oh so curious. And it's got Tom Hardy. I definitely think it's part of his flair, being able to flesh out his role and make that character really live. What can this man not do. *W*

Tom Hardy makes it, for sure. If Freddy was played by someone less talented he'd probably come off as totally irredeemable and make the whole movie "bad people doing bad things to each other" - it's already a little hard to watch, but worth it for his performance.
