She was fed in the morning where she was forced to sing so that Gothel might be renewed. Of course she had refused to sing at first but Gothel wasn't below forcing it out of her anymore. Her facade of motherly affection was no longer needed. Instead hot coals were more persuasive. Rapunzel didn't fight the singing anymore, but even with her now scarred legs and arms, she still looked for a way to escape.
Since her conversation with the new stranger, Lancer, her hope had been renewed. It had never left, but it burned just a little bit brighter now. Perhaps soon she would feel the cool grass between her toes once more.]

[Or mostly unfamiliar. This world was filled with plants and open landscapes--it looked almost like his home country even if it felt foreign. He'd certainly seen far worse than dark forests in his time, at least. A knight couldn't be afraid when someone else was relying on their strength, and so he wasn't ( ... )

We'll be out of here in just a few seconds. Please hold still. [A short lance appeared in his hand from seemingly nowhere, wrapped tightly in a length of dark purple cloth save only for a yellow-golden blade. He moved quickly, striking at the chain that restrained her and breaking it easily.]
Easy enough. Now, let's put some distance between ourselves and this wretched place.
