I have a couple of boxes of roleplay books, mostly 2nd ed D&D Forgotten Realms and 2nd/3rd ed Vampire the Masquerade.

I've seen a few people try and shift their old RP books on here before. Is there any point in me trying or should I just recycle them?

Ebay is a good choice - some RP books are worth money, some aren't and I don't really know which is which (but I shifted almost all mine).

Failing that go to Roj's and get him to sell them in the second hand - you'll only get store credit but you can use that for board or card games (not CCGs, though you could do that too) for normal people type things :D

Also, Dave, I got the Boomtowns and Cowtown Creator books back, thanks!

You would be stunned what people will pay money for, especially if you price the crap really low.

I'm glad your books showed, and I apologise for hanging onto them for so long.

How low is really low? I was thinking of shoving the lot up at 99p an item for a week (undercutting such luminaries as this guy; I've got a pristine copy of that book, but nothing short of extreme head trauma would make me think anyone would pay £16.95 for it).

I'm a bit astounded that someone has actually covered a starting bid of £4.99 for this, which is also in my collection. I'm not sure it cost that much in 1996.

I sold a load of old stuff on AMAZON at AMAZING prices, but not DnD or Masq TBH, that was Changeling and Wraith.

If you can't shift it at all I have a friend who I gave a load of old RPG and FF books to who actually gave them on to a group of people in Ireland who were running a convention to try and get people into the Hobby and used old books as a free gift for people who came along. He might still be looking, if you want to inflict old games on a brand new generation?

It is rather interesting for me to read this post. Thanx for it. I like such topics and anything that is connected to this matter. I definitely want to read a bit more soon.
