Interesting use of the word "flawed". While I would concur that, as humans, we are inherently imperfect and 'flawed' in many ways, I may have favored simply "different" in some of the context here.
I'm sure it is not how you meant it, but when others treat people/relationships differently than you, that doesn't make them 'flawed' per se unless you believe your way is right and theirs is wrong.
Heya Croc, well, an interesting perspective, I'm not sure that I've ever found a return when investing a lot of effort to be friends with someone, the folks that require lots of attention are like a pile of leaves in the wind, you turn around for a little while and they're all but gone. Yes its like riding the waves, and its a different wave for every friend, some folks are down in the troughs, they'd say high and perhaps sit for a cup of coffee or other casual social interaction, and some up on the crests would drop what they're doing, even cancel plans to come help you if you needed a hand. Sometimes without reminders and without contact, things fade over time. I still use that jack, a reminder of some good times.
