My new books!

I'm a super-obsessed pattern follower. Although I normally add/subtract things to make the pattern more to my liking, I haven't been able to get rid of that security blanket of having a pattern in front of me. Great finds!! Our local thrift store has piles and piles of needlecraft books, too - it's like being a kid in a candy store, hehe! :D

I know! The book has a lot of really nice designs for other crafts too. If you see it on amazon or at a bookstore, you should check it out.

Those old books can be great places to pick up techniques and get inspired, even if the patterns are totally out of date or fugly.

I got a huge mass of crochet magazines via freecycle from about 1925-1980, and they have SO much info in them, even though I think that there is only maybe 3-4 patterns that I'd be interested in actually making.

How cool!

I've become fascinated with old crochet patterns and books. I found some fun stuff on eBay recently, but haven't hit the thrift shops around here yet. Must do that one of these days!
