What's the difference between free-forming and free-handing?

Free handing is when you are trying to make something as you go along, or trying to figure out a design but just not writing down a pattern.

Free forming is a sub-genre of crochet ala Prudence Mapstone that builds up the completed project from separately crocheted bits (examples of free form can be found at amazing crochet or marlo's crochet corner)
