[Great out of all the possible weather it just happens to be Raven's least favourite. Snow, not just snow, but a blizzard. As he peers out the window he can't see anything but white, the distant views are covered in a blanket of blizzard induced fog.  Though the window he's looking out of isn't his own, he's still camping in house #12 following

[Ami seems to have been playing on her own for now, trying different setups and moves. She's bundled up with comfortable blankets and a hot cup of tea.]

(ooc: I usually just fudge it - generic things about trying to capture pieces, or aggressive vs defensive strategies. We should probably decide a winner tho)

Great! Then get that Knight on the right out in front of that pawn. [He points to the space he wants you to move it to.]

[The knight is pulled out front, and Ami studies the pieces another moment before deciding on her own opening strategy. From the beginning, her goal seems to be getting her pieces into place for a large-scale attack later on.]

Should we introduce ourselves?

(ooc: chess is Ami's specialty and she's beaten the junior national champion according to manga canon. so that works. XD)

If that first knight is relying on his comrade's strength, they'll both be taken easily.

But nah, that second Knight never shows up for his duties. He's always off doin' something on his own and leavin' the pawns to do his dirty work. Pretty lousy knight. The other one is overconfident, that's why he went first.

[Her next few moves focus on cornering the knight, just to be a brat; but of course quick and careful moving would rescue it]

[Raven's just associating the pieces with people he knows. Makes it more interesting.]

I think the first one will last longer than expected. [He makes a few moves himself that manage to save the first knight. But the second knight is lost, oh well. Sacrifice. He's made quite a mess on his side of the board.]
