[Since the last event Raven has spent the entire time locked away in his room sleeping it off. Now however he feels as though that wasn't he wisest thing to do. So he's currently in the Barracks borrowing one of their standard wooden bows and practising hitting the targets. He doesn't seem to be doing very well though, he's broken a few window ( Read more... )

[Here comes Arumat for his daily practice, only to find an arrow heading right at him. Good thing he is hax enough to be able to sidestep and grab the arrow right out of the air with a less-than-pleased expression on his face. Okay, who was responsible for that?]

[Arumat ties the blindfold around his head and turns to face the target, lifting the cloth for a moment to make certain that he's aligned properly before lowering it again and taking aim. Once he's got that muscle memory of how hard to pull the string and how high to lift it, he doesn't really need to see the target. His entire body has been genetically enhanced and honed to make him a fighting machine capable of feats like this.

The arrow isn't perfectly in the center of the bullseye, but it still hits its mark.]

I wanted ta see exact point center. Yer off by about an inch but I guess it's good enough. Fine, I swear ta never touch that bow again.

I don't care about the bow, just learn how to use it properly before you go putting other peoples' lives at risk.

I can use a bow, I'm just rusty that's all. Though not practisin' is just gonna make me even worse than I do have ta fire another bow.

Can't till I get my bow back. Ya'll just have to assume that I'm really terrible. Maybe when I do get it, I'll show ya a thing or two.

Hmph.

[Chatty Arumat is not, and he's not impressed either. There's no way that someone could go from being that bad to being good just by using a different bow, at least not to his mind.]
