[There's an old fart standing on the roof of house #12. How he got up there, or rather, when he got up there is a complete mystery he respawned there. In his hands he flips through the pages of the journal, looking for anything remotely interesting that he may have missed. After a while he speaks up.]

Is Alexei still alive?

Yeah. Didn't I just say I didn't do anything "stupid"? [You can practically hear the quotes around that word, too. He sounds a little aggravated -- whether it's because he's annoyed that he has to answer that question or annoyed that he didn't get to take out Alexei will be a mystery.]

[He doesn't want to say anything else on the reason. He may be back but he knows jack shit about Blastia formulas, he needs to be certain he's isn't gonna kill him again any time soon.]

Though, I wouldn't mind knocking him around some myself.

[Short pause, then--] ... Then it wasn't just him hitting it during your fight and you being stubborn about going to him that caused it to fail, was it.

[... Right, he didn't. But right now, he just wants some answers as to what really caused Raven's death and to see whether Alexei was lying or not, so he just goes right ahead and admits it.] ... I had a little chat with him. If that was supposed to be private business, take it up with him.

It was never private business ta begin with. I went there ta kill him, simple as. I was just usin' Nami as a scapegoat for my actions.

[Slightly annoyed eyebrow raise goes here. The thought of using anyone as a scapegoat to go after a bastard like Alexei seems dumb to him, not to mention using Nami. ... He'd probably be more annoyed if he knew Nami better than he does, though.]

Like you need a scapegoat to go after a guy like him, after everything he's done to you.
