The Gang Gang Dance show last friday reminded me of why it pays to live in NY: They sounded far more inspired than at the Portland show, where the audience numbered maybe a couple more

Shelley Hirsch is the Voice on that "she must be seeing things" stuff on John Zorn's first Filmworks, right? best thing he ever did, in my opinion (not that i'm going to send him a Big Bag of Money to hear *everything* he's done/been associated with) and she's a big part of WHY. the "worms" section i'm guessing is a tip of the hat to pastiche pioneer Brian Wilson. and, yeah, it was a movie too, co.starring Lois Weaver, somebody who grew up within walking distance of Right Here and, who knows, might be within walking distance of you Right Now...
